Il s'agit d'un spin-off de la franchise Sonic the Hedgehog servant de préquelle à la série télévisée éponyme. Avec Sonic Boom : L'Ascension de Lyric sur Wii U, ils sont les pires jeu Sonic et forment la troisième et dernière partie de l'accord d'exclusivité qui lie Sega à Nintendo, après Sonic Lost World et Mario et Sonic aux Jeux olympiques d'hiver de Sotchi 2014.


Histoire


Sonic et son groupe doivent retrouver Amy et réunir les éclats d’un cristal de pouvoir brisé avant le perfide Lyric.

November 2014 für den Nintendo 3DS veröffentlicht wurde.

Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal is an action-adventure video game developed by Sanzaru Games and published by Sega for the Nintendo 3DS. Along with its Wii U sibling Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, Shattered Crystal is a spin-off of Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog franchise and is a part of the Sonic Boom sub-franchise, which consists also of an animated television series, whose games serve as its prequels. The two games together formed the third and final part in Sega's exclusivity agreement with Nintendo, following Sonic Lost World and Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games in 2013. Both games were released in North America, Europe, and Australia in November 2014. A sequel, Fire & Ice, was released for the 3DS on September 27, 2016.
