Michael Jackson: The Experience est un jeu vidéo musical basé sur les chansons, clips et chorégraphies de Michael Jackson. Le jeu a été développé et publié par Ubisoft. Il est sorti le en Amérique du Nord et le en Europe sur Wii, Nintendo DS et PlayStation Portable. Le jeu s'inspire en grande partie de Just Dance sorti en 2009 Wii[1]. Utilisant la détection de mouvements sur les consoles de salon, Michael Jackson: The Experience permet au joueur de reproduire les chorégraphies de clips modélisés en 3D. Les versions Wii et PlayStation 3 acceptent un mode multijoueur. Les versions Xbox 360 et PlayStation 3 offrent par ailleurs la possibilité de chanter. Sur consoles portables, c'est un jeu de rythme demandant au joueur d'appuyer sur des boutons ou de tapoter l'écran dans le temps adéquat.

La version Wii est constituée de vingt-six chansons[2]. Quatre titres supplémentaires, à savoir I Just Can't Stop Loving You, Another Part of Me, Stranger in Moscow et Blood on the Dance Floor, sont disponibles pour les versions PlayStation 3 et Xbox 360[3]. La liste des titres des versions Nintendo DS et PSP est quant à elle inférieure à celles des consoles de salon[4].

En , Ubisoft révèle les chiffres de vente du jeu qui a rencontré un beau succès avec plus de 3 millions d'exemplaires vendus pour les versions Wii, Nintendo DS et PSP seulement[5].

The Japanese release on 8 December 2011 only revised the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii consoles. The game features many of Michael Jackson's hits, such as "Bad", "Thriller", "Beat It", "Billie Jean", "Smooth Criminal", "Black or White", "The Way You Make Me Feel", etc. However, some songs like "Man in the Mirror" and "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)" are excluded. Initial launches of the game included a limited edition replica of Jackson's sequined glove.[4] It was later released for the Nintendo 3DS on 7 November 2011 in North America and 11 November 2011 in Europe, for iPhone and iPad on 7 December 2011 in North America and for PlayStation Vita on 15 February 2012 in North America, 22 February 2012 in Europe and 23 February 2012 in Australia. It was announced that the game would be released on Mac OS X, and iPad 2.[citation needed] The game sold 2 million units in two months, not including Japanese sales, making it one of the best-selling Wii title games.[5]
