Hey You, Pikachu! (ピカチュウげんきでちゅう, Pikachū Genki dechū^?) est un jeu vidéo sorti le 12 décembre 1998 au Japon et le 6 novembre 2000 aux États-Unis sur Nintendo 64.

Dans ce jeu qui n'est jamais sorti en Europe, le joueur doit élever son Pikachu dans un univers en 3D. Nintendo a décidé de sortir Pokémon Channel sur GameCube pour remplacer Hey You, Pikachu! qui n'était pas sorti en Europe.^{[réf. nécessaire]} Le jeu se contrôle à la manette et par le biais d'un microphone dédié, le VRU (Voice Recognition Unit), qui reconnaît environ 200 mots prononcés par le joueur en japonais (dans sa version nippone) et en anglais (pour la mouture américaine), ce qui pourrait expliquer la non-commercialisation du titre en Europe, pour laquelle il aurait fallu éditer le jeu en plusieurs langues pour autant de VRU dédiées.

Ce jeu et Densha de Go! sont les seuls à utiliser le microphone de la Nintendo 64.

Hey You, Pikachu![lower-alpha 1] is a virtual pet Pokémon spin-off video game for the Nintendo 64 developed by Ambrella and published by Nintendo. It was released in Japan on December 12, 1998, and in North America on October 30, 2000. The player is asked to help Professor Oak test the PokéHelper, a device that lets humans communicate with Pokémon. The game is set in the Kanto region between Pewter City and Viridian City, where the player is introduced to a wild Pikachu. The player is able to communicate with a 256-word database through the Voice Recognition Unit (VRU), a Nintendo 64 hardware accessory that, when paired with a microphone, can comprehend and analyze human speech.[2] Along with speaking with Pikachu, the VRU allows the player to move around and gather items.
