El juego se ha asociado con FIFPro, una organización representativa mundial de más de 65.000 futbolistas profesionales, así como con InStat, una empresa de análisis de rendimiento deportivo, que proporcionará estadísticas actualizadas para cada jugador.[3]

Desarrollo

UFL se reveló por primera vez con un avance el 25 de agosto de 2021 durante la Gamescom 2021.[12] Strikerz Inc. ha estado desarrollando el proyecto desde 2016.[13] Construido con Unreal Engine, el juego se lanzará en PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X y Series S.[14] En noviembre de 2021, la desarrolladora anunció que el primer gameplay del juego sería presentado en enero de 2022.[15]

Promoción

El lateral ucraniano del Arsenal, Oleksandr Zinchenko, es el jugador elegido por los desarrolladores de Strikerz para representar la experiencia Fair to Play de UFL.[16] Según los desarrolladores, "fair to play" significa "limpio para jugar", refiriéndose a que no contendrá elementos de pago dentro del videojuego,[17] siendo éste un claro mensaje para otras sagas de este género de videojuegos conocidos que han implementado pequeñas compras en sus franquicias.[18]

UFL is an upcoming free-to-play association football video game developed and published by Strikerz Inc. It was initially set to be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S in 2022,[1] but on 30 August 2022, it was announced by Eugene Nashilov, CEO of Strikerz Inc., that the game's release date would be "moved to 2023".[2] The developers describe their model as "fair-to-play" with "a skill-first approach and zero pay-to-win options".[3] They also declare this being their "core principle" with Strikerz Inc. CEO stating that "players’ success should not depend on the number of in-game purchases or the value of donations they make".[4]
